Fast Point was incorporated and began “mini-micro lending” with less than N100,000 which continued to grow month-on-month. The company at the time provided loans to salary earners only, using a paper-based/manual application process that requires supporting documentation.
A Multipurpose Co-operative license was obtained to provide lending and investment services to members regardless of employment status. This made it possible to provide loans to more people and the company broadens its service offerings to increase customer base.
We realized that we have to do business differently in providing convenience, self-service, speed, and sustainability to achieve our strategic intent. The journey began with our loan request through to disbursement done online via email correspondence and third-party integration platforms, thus making the experience seamless for our customers across the country.
All along we had known where we want to be which made us relentless in our drive for excellence as we transit year-on-year. We finally obtained from regulators our operating license and also launched our flagship Lending Application System. The Fast-Point Loan Management Application is a fully digital consumer lending platform with personalized user experience available 24/7. Funds can be borrowed funds into a person’s account in minutes. We are also digitizing our investments offering to provide holistic financial service management to our clients. We will continue to maintain our brand identity “Fast-Point” which signaled our vision to continued innovative offerings that are convenient, reliable, and accessible to all clients across Africa via our digital platforms and channels.
